uneven running pattern in agarose gel

Is the pattern like a wave across the gel? I too had the same problem with myy restriction digests. I changed the Tris to Sigma's Trizma and the problem disappeared. I believe it was caused due to old electrode buffer or old Tris and the pH changing during the run.
let us know if you found another solution for the phenomenon.

Subject: uneven running pattern in agarose gel

When I run the PCR reactions in 1% agarose gel (big gels 350ml at
115V), sometimes it gives me uneven pattern that is not due to the
polymorphism and it is clear that there is a problem with the gel or
running buffer or the Machine. What could be the main cause?
