pcr of nifH gene

hi all,

im trying to pcr amplify the nifH gene of the *Rhizobium* isolates. I have
standardized the reaction, but im facing one problem. Only 8 out of 44
isolates gave the pcr product, while the rest gave no product. Is it that
the rest require a different probe for their amplification or they donot hav
the particular gene?
