Dear All who have enough experience with restriction enzymes,

I am trying long to clone some genes in some vectors, but strangely the
enzymes are not cutting. I have some restriction enzymes from two companies,
but I found they don’t cut. I don’t know when they have been bought for the
lab. I would appreciate if anybody let me know how long is the half life of
these enzymes. In other words, how long does it take for the enzymes stored
at -20°C to lack their efficiency to cut?

I am looking forward to hearing from any cloning specialist asap.

Sincerely,

N. Mahna.
