Are you trying to use your DNA in a commercial PCR-SSP / PCR-SSOP or is
it a PCR you have devised yourself. The KIR receptors are very hard to
work with as the genes that encode them are very highly conserved and
often what you think may be poor DNA quality can be bad primer design.
If you are using long template OCR then the potential for the DNA to be
the problem is increased but the LT-PCR kits tend to work only
sporadically and I would investigate other kits or buffers if you can.
