Lyophilizing sterile samples in a Speed-Vac

I actually have done something similar:  I punched holes in a cap and glued 
a filter to it.  But I wouldn't recommend it.  It has to be sterilized under 
UV, and the glue can spread throughout the filter before hardening.  It's 
basically a royal pain to make your own.
