Sonication of tributyrin with media chang color to milky

Tributyrin is a good substrat for lipolytic activity detection from metagenomic library. Thats why i want to use this one. But i want to confirm that after sonication of tributyrin with water or media chnage color to milky so this will effect the tributyrin chemistry and can we use this for lipolytic activity in medai. i will be thankfull for you suggestion
