I have been asked to help a colleague (an immunologist) on a project
part of which involves molecular biology techniques. I'm a molecular
biologist who has never worked on eukaryote systems, so I reckon that a
kit would ease the pain. What we are going to do is clone the light and
heavy chains from monoclonal antibody-producing murine cell lines and
transfer them to a CHO cell line to improve stability and expression
levels for these particular MAbs. We have located a kit (Invitrogen
OptiCHO(tm) Antibody Express Kit), but I was wondering if there was any
similar kits from other companies. Also, it would be nice to contact
someone who has practical experience of the Invitrogen kit and who would
be willing to give me some advice.
Regards,
Vince
