sodium periodate does not dissolve...

Something to add:

instead of the 0.1M solution (21.4mg/ml) it almost dissolved with
double the amount of solvent (-> 0.05M). Downstream, it apparently
worked, at least, the HRP I was about to oxidize turned green as
expected. Could it be that several sources report wrong solubility
data (Acros: 80g/l; Wikipedia.de 91g/l: Sigma: 50g/l)?
