Hello all,
I need to transform S aureus strain with a plasmid of my interest.
In the biorad gene pulser protocol booklet, they mention using SMMP
(sucrose, MgCl2, maleic acid and penassay broth) for reviving the s aureus
after the electroporation step.
I was wondering what is the role of maleic acid in this preparation.
Can it be substituted with anything else?
