 AARRGH! This could kill nicely any FPLC equipment (pumps, valves,
columns, filters, even tubing) and sensitive assays where you possibly
don't prepare half liter of 5M and clearly may see the turbidity. On
the package, they just write "insoluble material <0.4%". A warning to
use an appropriate filter before downstream processing would be more
safe.

BTW, PBS is mainly for historic compatibility reasons: The solution
once was used for a gradient; pH measurement then didn't show a huge
deviation of pH due to GuHCl (slightly acidic).
