You might look at the book MILESTONES IN MICROBIOLOGY edited by
Thomas Brock. It's a Prentice Hall publication. One article is a
translation of Robert Koch's 1877 paper entitled THE ETIOLOGY OF
ANTHRAX, BASED ON THE LIFE HISTORY OF BACILLUS ANTHRACIS.
