microtube dilution and NCCLS

I was wondering how many labs out ther are still using microtube dilution 
without and a growth turbidty standard for incoculum prep.

We found ourselves waylayed by the last NCCLS protocols which require a 
direct suspension for MRSA detection.

In general, how is this newsgroup for fleshing out protocol problems?
