I am currently attempting to quantify lipooligosaccharide from Haemophilus influenzae typeB
as a contaminant of a cytoplasmic extract of the bacterium.  I'm about to try the Tsai & Frasch
silver stain method.  KDO determination is not sensitive enough.  Another option may be acid
methanolysis of the sample and quantification of C16:0 fatty acid methyl ester by GC.  Does
anyone have any suggestions.
