While I have gained an appreciation for the potential problem
of "overestimating" the actual numbers involved in describing the
growing problem of drug resistance from corresponding with
Bob, I still find the time course of events alarming.
Anitibiotics having been in use for such a relatively minor
part of the history of medical science -a half century is
apparently a considerable amount of time in terms of bacterial
evolution.
