grad studies same/diff university

Hi
	I am an undergraduate in microbiology/genetics graduating this 
year and thinking of pursuing graduate studies.  What I am interested in 
knowing is what are the advantages of going to a different university as 
opposed to staying at the same university for graduate studies? 
	Does this really affect job prospects?  Any information/thoughts on 
the subject would be much appreciated.  Please respond to
