Sterilization Test

A common practice in the pharmaceutical industry is to sample surfaces
with contact plates such as the RODAC agar plates. Organisms are
transferred from the inanimate non-porous surface to the medium. After
incubation, one can count the number of organisms, if any, and caculate
cfu per surface area. Saturated swabs also work well.
