You might try searching for any papers written by Rebecca Calderon, Yale 
Univ Sch of Med, after about 1985 or so.  She was a doctoral student in 
epidemiology and looked at legionella in water cooling systems.  If you 
have compuserve - use IQuest, if not try NLM Greatful Med or other 
search systems.  There are some sources on the www but I have not found 
any very complete ones or any that are full text.
