Culturing bacteria from sheep fleece

Hello all,

Would someone be able to suggest a suitable agar for plating out samples 
taken from a sheep fleece.  We are interested in examining the normal flora 
present in the fleece, so a general purpose non selective media is needed.  Is 
there any advantage in using say, Blood agar or Luria Bertani agar?
I would be interested in hearing others' thoughts on this.
