petroleum bioremediation research

I am a science research student at Rockledge High, Florida.  This year I
am doing a project on petroleum bioremediation.  My procedure is not
quite finished and I could use any information or ideas anyone might have
about it, particularly on petroleum.  I'm not really sure how or where to
get it, and I am somewhat unfamiliar with the chemistry of it.  I also
need to know how to measure the hydrocarbon levels.  Please send all
