ANNOUNCING:
MARINE EXTREMOZYMES AND BIOREMEDIATION WORKSHOP
September 24 - 25, 1996
University of Washington
Seattle, Washington
USA
This workshop brings together researchers, industry representatives and
agency managers with an interest in extremozymes (in particular enzymes
from extreme temperature environments) and bioremediation in the marine
environment.
Tuesday, September 24, will feature formal presentations by researchers
from industry and universities to demonstrate state of the art
developments in extremozymes and bioremediation. The agenda allows an
open interchange of ideas on present and future applications for these key
technological advances; and an introduction to converging new fields of
marine biotechnology.
On Tuesday evening, a reception and poster session hosted by Washington
Sea Grant Program will provide further opportunities for networking among
representatives of biotechnology research, industry, and government.
Wednesday morning will include additional presentations on marine
bioremediation followed by a round table discussion spotlighting future
funding options and policy directions for marine extremophile and
bioremediation development.
