In re: subtilin

To my knowledge subtilin is not available commercially however you
can obtain the strain that produces subtilin from the ATCC (ATCC6633)
and make some of your own (it isn't that tough).  Alternatively you
can see if Norman Hansen at the Univ. of Maryland has any to spare -
he has done most of the ground breaking work on subtilin production -
including cloning the subtilin and nisin operons and engineering the
production of recombinant subtilin and  variants.
