Protein electrophoresis

Does anyone have a reasonably simple protocol for extraction  and
electrophoresis to distinguish  between proteins found in  two populations
of the same species?  For example: comparing proteins found in isolated
populations of trout, etc.  I am set up to do horizontal agarose
electrophoresis and have had fair success running various proteins.  I
seem to recal quite a lot of stock separation work of this nature done in
the 70's.
