Easy / Best method for teichoic acid measurement

Fellow microbiologists,

I desire to quantify G+ biomass in soil slurries and I have two 
questions.

1) what is the BEST (most reliable) method for extracting, separating 
and quantifying teichoic acid?

2) what is the easiest (or qickest) method for extracting, separating 
and quantifying teichoic acid?

Any replies pointing to detailed references would be most appreciated.
