Growing Mycobacterium

Have you tried ordering some Lowenstein-Jensen medium from Difco?  Also, 
suggest you read up on Mycobacterium vaccae in Bergey's.  Limited growth 
at 3 days may not be all that bad.  What are its other requirements?

Also, I think you would be better off establishing your culture on solid 
media.

By the way, hens eggs are are just regular grocery store eggs.
