Bactericidal/Bacteriostatic combinations

Hi,
It is well established that the combination of a bactericidal
drug (eg. Beta-lactam antibiotics) with bacteriostatic drugs
(eg. tetracyclines) has an antagonistic effect; so usually, this
combination is not advised.
My question is: Is this true when combining the Quinolones (eg.
ofloxacin)
with bacteriostatic drugs? Quinolones are bactericidal, but have a
different
mode of action from that of the beta-lactams.
I hope someone responds.
Best Regards,
BM
