Can anyone give me information on the detection of IgA antibodies directed
against Chlamydia trachomatis. I recently read somewhere that the detection
of IgA antibody in endocervical swabs was a good predictor of Chlamydial
infection - better than antigen detection and on a par with PCR/ LCR. I am
also interested in any issues relating to screening for this organism.
