Isolation of filamentous fungi

Hi Folks,

Can anyone suggest a protocol or point me in the direction of how to
isolate filamentous fungi i.e selection, media, reducing growth of
bacteria, best sources of material i.e. composts, soli etc. It will
become a student project screening isolates for a particular enzyme
activity.
