info needed plasmodium falciparum

hi there all 
can you help me i have read a few books on microbiology about this
oraganism but most of them only tell me about its mode of transmision. 
the information i require is more of its structure and defence
mechanisms e.g. survival (environmental / host ).  maybe you can help me
in suggesting citations, specific books where i can find such
information.
