Could any one help me explaining my problem as below:

I have RHIZOPUS OLIGOSPORUS which I use to make TEMPEH CAKE.
My problem, there is not enough R.O. to be used every week interval of
making Tempeh, since we don't eat Tempeh every day (not continously).

The Rhizopus Oligosporus only last for 6 months time or sometime a bit
longer than that, and yet it will finish sooner or later.

Now I want to try making a kind of starter which might be good for a longer
time continously.

1. How to culture Rhizopus Oligosporus in an AGAR SLANT ?

2. What is an AGAR SLANT, is it agar-agar cooked into a slurry gelatin ?
and how much water proportion to optimize the mold environmental condition ?

3. What is the purpose of adding POTATO DEXTROSE (liquid or powder ?) to agar slant ?

4. How do you maintain the cultured ingredients so that it will survive during 7 days incubation ?
Do you watering/moisturing it every day within that period at 28 degree Celcius ?

I would really appreciate any help. Please send me a brief advice which might probably works.
