most probable number

hallo out there

i need some help on the mpn method for counting microbes.

the problem however is that i have tables for 10fold and 4fold diluton
series but i used a twofold dilution series in my special problem.

the backgraund is that i did not used classic microbiological methods. i
tried to perform a mpn-PCR to quantitate the number of genomes in a
given volume. anyway, the statistics remains the same.

so, can anyone give me the formula to calculate the most probable number
for any dilution series?
I have only found a formula to calculate confidence intervals of a given
mpn.

by the way, it is a bit urgent......
