Two important additions have been made to DNATools.

You can now create local data bases from you own sequences - and search them with all five blast
programs. The functions use BlastAll and FormatDB from NCBI to carry out the operations while the
user interface is provided by DNATools.

The collection of functions for SAGE analysis has been extended by addition a new function which
allows you to simultaneously view / compare up to six SAGE tag files. If a matching EST data base is
available, the sequence annotation of this can be linked to the tag file comparison. In addition to
de default histogram view, two text reports can be generated, one suitable for import into a
spreadsheed for further analysis. This makes it easy to reveal differences / similarities of gene
expression at different developmental stages.
