How to block/destroy Fc domain of an antibody?

Protein A will definitely not do the trick. It binds only to a small
portion of the Fc domain, and won't block a significant portion of your
secondary antibody. What you need to do is make Fab fragments using
pepsin. Protocols are available readily in textbooks.
