Actually, Jorge, you're one of the people who inspire
me to poetry.  It's maybe only of a doggerel sort, but
hey, do you think you deserve better?

CAN WE TALK?

   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with a mean ugly pit bull rabid dog
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with a diabolical demagogue
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with mindless machine gears and cogs
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with mean-eyed imbeciles lost in a fog
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with couch potato bumps on a log
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with spoiled yuppies who diet and jog
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   trapped under countless consumer catalogs
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with a kooky cultist who's talking to god
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with an awfully combative ideologue
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with a sourpuss piggy gimme hog
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   in a hole in the dump in the dirt where you dug
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with a Dark Middles Ages theological thug
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with a loutish loudmouthed lunk-headed lug
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   in polemical poetical dialectical doggerel
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with didactic diarrhea diatribes rambling on for so long
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   against organized dogma that's utterly wrong
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with dirty diapers and dippy ding-dongs
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with the hate-mongering mobs and the threatening throngs
   You can't have a meaningful dialogue
   with the take-easy get-along go-alongs

   No such a sound as eloquent oration
   Just a stupid laugh track on a TV station
   Such is our Modern Art of Conversation

   not democracy, just demagogy
   not democracy, just demographics
   paternalistic and pornographic
   not discussing, just disgusting

   not dialogue, just died,  long-gone to the dogs
