You can find this inforamtion in many clinical micro texts. It was thought to
be an anerobe but now is consider to be microaerophilic. Antibiotic
sensitivity, like that for many bugs, is variable. Most notable here is that
erythromycin resisitance is very common (even tho' alot of Rx acne therapies
use this antibiotic).
Please also be aware that it is associated with acne but it's status as the
sole etiologic agent / condition is not established. The bug is present on
noninvolved persons (seemingly in lesser #'s), can be reduced or wiped out on
skin without affecting acne and acne can be cured with affecting the bug.
