Research Officer: An investigation of the potential of extremophiles as
a source of new biocatalysts.

A experienced microbiologist is required for a 3-year project on the
isolation and cultivation of novel extremophiles according to their
metabolic and enzymic characteristics, as defined by our industrial
collaborators:

    GlaxoWellcome Operations,
    Reckitt-Benckiser,
    EHC Viridian.

A post-doctoral enzymologist has already been appointed to the project
and will work in close collaboration with the microbiologist and the
Centre for Extremophile Research.
