Yeast clone recovery from glycerol stock

A good part of your recovery probably has to do with the amount of glycerol in
the frozen sample. A 5% final glycerol concentration seems to give the best
results, but there may be some strain dependency involved. Additionally, a
rapid thaw in a 35 deg water bath, seems to be important for maximum recovery of
viable cells.
