? re E. coli DC2 origin

I noticed a quite a number of E coli studies listed under "Wiley, DC".
Maybe DC2 is referring to his initials. Just guessing.
Either that, or an attempt to cross a bacterium with an airplane.
Just kidding.
It would be rather more imaginative though, than the crossing of E coli
with a South African clawed toad in 1973. Not kidding about that one.
Ah, who knows what strange creations will be unleashed upon
an unsuspecting world, next?
