digital camera for microscope

We are investigating buying a digital camera for an epi-fluorescence microscope
(mainly for taking images of bacterial cells and protozoa +/- fluorescent
staining).  Could anyone recommend a good camera for this purpose or perhaps
point out any pit falls you may have experienced in purchasing such a piece of
equipment!  I am willing to learn from other peoples mistakes!!
