You need to get a basic microbiology textbook and go to work. -- Larry D. I have been using filtration with Fluid D and resin beads in TSB but would like to be able to do a direct inoculation into a medium that would neutralize the vancomycin. CYLG is mentioned in the literature but I cannot find any additional information except that it is casein yeast lactate glucose medium. Is there a formulation available? Or alternately is there a medium that will help me achieve my goal? I'm trying to create a pspA reporter plasmid by linking the psp promoter using the thi- genotype of E.coli MC4100 as an auxotrophic marker, however I'm having 'a little' trouble finding out which gene has actually been deleted or mutated so that I can incorporate it into my plasmid. Does anyone out there know what gene the thi- in E.coli MC4100 actually is? Thanks, Julian _________________________________________________________________ Got a 2008 financial hangover?
