I'm a protein chemist interested in insulin, and its structural variations
among species. Could some kind person suggest a reference or two for me on the
topic of mammalian phyolgeny? (A recent review article would be better than a
weighty tome for my immediate purposes.) I am particularly curious about
living examples of eutherians (if any) that diverged early on from the
mainstream of existing eutherians.
