VARIATION IN DNA CONTENT AMONGST DIFFT SPP.

Hi,
I have read (but don't remember where) that there is a relationship
between genome size and optimal growth temperature, in plants at 
least.
Can anybody update me on what is thought about this idea? I suspect
that since nobody else in this string has mentioned it, that it does
not have many supporters.
