An interest in generating Decay Indices/Bremer Support values has been
expressed on the newsgroup sci.bio.systematics.
I thought this information by be of interest here.
A program called AutoDecay, developed by Torsten Eriksson at the
University of Stockholm, is available by contacting the author
at (Torsten.Eriksson at botan.su.se)
or via anonymous ftp @ 220.127.116.11
Log in as <anonymous>, password <your email address>,
and the directory </pub/autodecay>
There are compressed and uncompressed files available as well as a
general info document on decay indices including all relevant citations.
There are two versions of the program, v3.0 is a C program compiled
for the 68kMac/PMac and v2.7 is a hypercard stack for the Mac as well.
The program saves valuable time by creating reverse constraint
trees from an existing Paup tree file.
Thanks for your time,
