POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
A postdoctoral position is available on an NIH-sponsored project
to study the populationgenetics of the enzymes of the glycolytic
pathway in Drosophila melanogaster and D. simulans. The study
involves DNA sequencing, the quantitative and geographic genetics
of metabolic energy pools, clinal variation, pathway flux analysis,
and kinetic characterization of enzyme variants. Candidates
should ideally be experienced in some aspects of molecular
techniques, but it is not a requirement.The appointment is one-year
with a renewable second year. Salary is in the $25,000 to $29,000
range depending on experience.
