Synthelabo Biomoleculaire has an immediate opening in the Group of
Structural Biology for

                                           Protein Modeller

The successful candidate will have PhD in structural biology, physical
chemistry, theoretical chemistry or chemistry and several years of
postdoctoral experience in a well-established protein modelling group.
His/her skills will include

Analysis of amino and nucleic acid sequences and sequence - function
   assignment
Homology and threading modelling
Molecular mechanics and dynamics
Docking techniques
Use of www modelling and sequence analysis resources
Good knowledge of structural biology, familiarity with X-ray
    crystallography and NMR spectroscopy
Ability to collaborate within a specialised protein structure team
(X-ray crystallography, NMR and optical spectroscopy) as well as
interact with scientists in a multidisciplinary institute
    (molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, genomics,
    bioinformatics)
Excellent communication
Integrate in an international team

Synthelabo Biomoleculaire, a research institute located in Strasbourg
and a subsidiary of the French pharmaceutical company Synthelabo,
performs research towards the rapid generation of leads for new
therapeutic targets emerging from the human genome. The Group of
Structural Biology is equipped with 600, 500 and 360 MHz NMR
spectrometers, X-ray diffractometer and a range of optical
spectrometers (UV, IR, Raman, CD, fluorescence). The computing
environment is based on Silicon Graphics servers and workstations. The
group collaborates closely with molecular biology, genomics,
bioinformatics, and medicinal and combinatorial chemistry.
