You say these are not micotubule because they are too large. Microtubule are about 25 nm in diameter, the size estimate that you give, 25-30 nm, cannot exclude that these are microtubules. Have you tried immunofluorescence with anti-tubulin antibodies? Gregory May gsmay at bcm.tmc.edu
