Over the years variation in batches of novozyme has presented some real problems. Some people have found that passing it over a sephadex G-25 column helps. We have used precipitation from ammonium sulfate for some batches. See Osmani et al., 1987 JCB 104, 1495. I hope this helps some. Greg
