During routine diagnosis I happened to snap a few shots of
conidiophores growing on a selective medium that was a deep blue. The
results were stunning. Having a background added depth and contrast.
The prosaic became art.
Anyone know what can be used to tint agar media strongly without
making it selective? Or have I just been staring too long into
microscopes and lost it?
