Powdery mildew in India: references?

Hi, all!
I'm working on grape powdery mildew (Uncinula necator, an ascomycetous biotrophic foliar 
pathogen), and I'm looking for references concerning the arrival of this fungus in India.
This should have occured in the 1945-1950, and there should be a paper from Uppal, but I
can't find it.
I would be very grateful if someone would indicate me reference(s) or database where I 
could find references.
