Lichen Conservation - Morocco

I have been contacted by someone who is importing Oakmoss (Pseudevernia
furfuracea var. furfuracea) into the UK from Morocco.  They are genuinely
concerned about the conservation impact that the commercial exploitation
of this species may be having on the natural populations.  Does anyone  know of
any sources of information on this topic?
