Collection Assistant Position

	Museum Collection Assistant, Mycology


Location: Department of Botany, The Field Museum of Natural History,
Chicago, Illinois

Responsibilities:   This is a two-year full-time position funded through a
NSF grant supporting the mycological collections at The Field Museum. The
collection assistant will conduct several collection improvement projects,
including moving and reorganizing fungal collections into the new herbarium
facility, documenting and incorporating new acquisitions, processing backlog
material, data-entry, and transferring fragile fungal specimens into
archival-quality boxes.

Qualifications:  Minimum B.S. in botany, experience in mycology/fungal
taxonomy preferred.

Starting salary:  $21,000 (Museum Specialist III)
